What is your check-in and check-out time?
Mercure Sydney Hotel‘s check-in time is from 3:00pm and check-out time is 10:00am.
What can I do if I want to check-in early and check-out late?
Early check-in from 8:00am is available at $80 (subject to availability). Late check-out is also available at a charge from $80 up to 6:00pm (subject to availability), after which the full rate will be charged.
Otherwise, it’s free to leave your luggage with our concierge before your check-in or after your check-out. Note that you will have to collect them by 11pm on the same day.
Long term storage is available provided you have a future reservation with us.
What are the available facilities / services for early arrival guests?
Complimentary wireless internet access is also available throughout the hotel for in-house guest for 30 minutes per day. Please consult one of our reception staff for further information.
Mercure Sydney Hotel is located right in the heart of Sydney’s entertainment and shopping precinct. If you wish to explore Sydney before you check in but wish to leave your luggage, please do not hesitate to contact our concierge team for assistance.
Where can I store my luggage?
After checking in with our reception team, Mercure Sydney Hotel’s concierge team will store your luggage for you until your room is available and have the luggage sent up to your room.
If you are checking out, you may also store your luggage with our concierge for the day and a ticket will be issued to you which you will be required to present the ticket later in the day for collection.
Will my credit card be charged immediately? What happens if I cancel my reservation or booking?
It is important to read your booking conditions when making a reservation for your stay with us.
Special offers are often subject to prepayment and a no-cancellation policy. To secure these offers, the hotel will charge your card immediately and this is usually non-refundable and non-transferable.
Should you fail to arrive for your scheduled stay with us, the hotel will charge your credit card the full fee of your stay. You may not be charged should you cancel within the cancellation policy time subject to our terms and conditions.
All credit card transactions will be subject to the credit card transaction fee of 1.4%.
When will I be issued a Tax Invoice?
If you have made your reservation under a prepaid booking rate, we can only issue the tax invoice upon departure.
What can I do if I left an important item behind after my stay?
Leaving behind a personal item or an important document is sometimes part of the travel experience. At Mercure Sydney, we’ve recognised how valuable some items can mean to our guests and therefore a ‘Lost & Found’ department has been created to assist you during or after your stay. For assistance during your stay, please dial ‘9’ from room. Alternatively, please contact us on +61 (2) 9217 6684 for further assistance after your stay.
It is an important priority and we will try our very best to find your valuable item. If the item is highly important, please do not hesitate to contact our Rooms Division Manager by email h2073-fo36@accor.com within 24 hours after your stay.
Although we can’t guarantee your item/s will be found after our careful search and investigation, we will try our best to assist you where possible.

Will there be noise next to the train station?
Whether you would like to concentrate on reading or simply relax after a hard day, the hotel’s double glazed windows assure our guests will have a peaceful night’s sleep and as all train lines run underground, noise is heavily reduced.
Are there smoking floors available?
There are no smoking rooms available, all rooms at the Mercure Sydney are Smoke Free.
Can I have an additional person in the room and is there a rollaway bed?
A maximum occupancy applies, depending on the type of room.
The hotel offers a rollaway beds at $80 per night and must be requested at the time of your reservation or booking. King or Twin rooms cannot accommodate a rollaway bed.

Do you provide cots for babies and how much do they cost?

Is it safe to leave my personal belongings in the hotel room?
Guests are given a maximum of 2 keys per room (unless otherwise requested) which have their own unique security code. In addition, there is a safe in the hotel room that enables you to place your personal belongings and lock it by keying your own pin code.
Alternatively, Mercure Sydney Hotel offers 24 hour baggage storage located on Ground Level where your personal belongings will be well taken care of by concierge staff.

Is Mercure Sydney Hotel a disabled friendly hotel?
The Mercure Sydney Hotel is a mobility impaired friendly property. There are handles and rails the moment you enter from the front of the hotel on Little Regent Street. The Mercure Sydney Hotel offers special access accommodation.
The hotel offers accommodation options for people with reduced mobility. These rooms house the same features as our standard rooms and are equipped with additional facilities including handles and rails for bathroom access.

What are the best ways to get around town and surrounds?
Mercure Sydney’s prime location with the many forms of public transport right at the hotel’s doorstep is an ideal way to visit the sights of Sydney. The best way to get around the city will also depend on the duration of your stay in Sydney and how often you will utilise the public transport; the most common activities are conducted by day tour companies that offer trips throughout Sydney and its surrounds.

Does Mercure Sydney Hotel operate a shuttle bus service?
The hotel does not operate our own shuttle service to or from the airport, however our concierge team would be more than happy to book via an external supplier for you (fees apply) – please contact concierge on (02) 9217 6638 or h2073-fo14@accor.com.
The hotel is located right in the heart of Sydney CBD with several public transport options right at the doorstep including train (Central Station), bus (on Railway Square), taxi and Light Rail.
The train offers a direct line into Central from Sydney’s Domestic and International Terminals.
What transfers are available from the airport?
With our prime location within reach of various modes of public transportation, several options are available:
Via Taxi
It will cost between $30-40 depending on traffic to both the domestic and international terminals. Head to our concierge desk and our team will help you book a taxi.
Via Train

How do I get to the Sydney Harbour or Darling Harbour from the hotel?
Sydney Harbour is located 3km from the hotel. There are a few ways to reach one of the world’s favourite attractions either 10 minutes by train, 15 minutes by taxi, 20 minutes by bus or 45 minutes walking.
Darling Harbour is located 1.5 km from Mercure Sydney. Enjoy a 10 minute walk down the rejuvenated Goods Line or hop onto the light rail and you will be in Sydney’s favourite destination for leisure and entertainment in less than 10 minutes.
How do I get to the Central station?
Central Station can be easily accessed via an easy 5-minute walk from the hotel.
1.Use the hotel’s exit onto Railway Square (right next to Eve’s Bar)
2.Walk straight ahead cross the road on the right towards Central Station
3.Follow the ramp up and will lead to the Grand Concourse of Central Station
How far are you to Central railway station?
Mercure Sydney is only 200 meters away from Central station, located directly across the road. The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk away. The best exit to take when leaving Central train station is the Railway Square, UTS and George street exit.
Are there any laundry / self-laundry facilities in the hotel?
Laundry facilities and services are available at Mercure Sydney Hotel.
The self-laundry facilities are located on Level B1 of the hotel with simple instructions and laundry items available to assist you.
Alternatively, Mercure Sydney Hotel offers in-house guests laundry services and pick up anytime from your room and return within 24 hours.
Do you have on-site car parking available and how much does it cost?
Our hotel has an on-site underground car parking facility with 108 car parking spaces, with a height restriction of 2.1 metres. Pre-parking is unavailable and is subject to availability.

Do you have a pool?
Mercure Sydney’s indoor rooftop pool is located on the 15th floor with access via the 14th floor.
Opening hours are from 06:00am to 10:00pm.
Our pool is 12 metres long by 4 metres wide, and 1.2m deep with clear depth markings.
It is heated (to approximately 27°C / 81°F) during the colder seasons for your enjoyment.
Other facilities located on this floor include a gym with air-conditioning and a sauna.
What are the internet / Wi-Fi access prices?
Wi- Fi is available in communal areas.
Each booking receives half an hour free access each day. Wi-Fi is available from $10 per 24 hours for standard internet access and $15 per 24 hours for premium internet access.
Accor Live Limitless members get free wi-fi access throughout their stay.

Do kids get to stay and eat for free?
Two children under the age of 16 can stay for free using existing bedding in the room. Two children under 12 can also enjoy free breakfast when dining with parents at our restaurant on level one.
Children 12 – 16 can enjoy breakfast for the discounted price of $17.50 per person, guests 17 years and over will be charged at adult prices which is $35pp.
